Ferrari 296 Challenge — Custom Targa Race Livery March 18, 2026 — Project Spotlight We transformed this track-bred Ferrari 296 Challenge with a full custom-printed race livery—a true testament to speed and style. Some vehicles that roll into our Seattle shop are special, and then there are those that are in a league of their own. The Ferrari 296 Challenge is one of them. This isn't just a supercar; it's a purpose-built racing machine, engineered for blistering lap times and nothing else. When the opportunity arose to design and install a full custom race livery for this track weapon, our team at EMWRAPS was ready to create something that matched its incredible performance with equally stunning visuals. The Vision: A Modern Classic LiveryThe goal was to create a livery that felt both timeless and aggressive, respecting Ferrari's racing heritage while complementing the 296's advanced aerodynamic design. The design prominently features the iconic Italian tricolore stripes flowing over the roof, a nod to the car's origins. We incorporated classic motorsport elements like checkered flag motifs on the hood, seamlessly blended with the branding for key sponsors like Targa, Dobel, and Prologic Automation.Material Selection and Precision PrintingA livery destined for the racetrack demands materials that can withstand extreme conditions. We selected 3M 2080 Gloss vinyl for its proven durability, vibrant color reproduction, and excellent conformability over complex curves. This project wasn't a simple color change; it was a multi-layered, digitally printed graphics package. Every sponsor logo, stripe, and design element was meticulously printed in high resolution to ensure sharp, clean lines that look perfect both up close in the paddock and as a blur on the track. The Art of Race Car ApplicationWrapping a race car like the 296 Challenge is an exercise in precision.
