What Is a Race Car Wrap?
A race car wrap is a vinyl livery applied in place of paint: team colors, sponsor logos, numbers and driver names, printed or in color film. It goes on far faster than paint, a sponsor change mid-season means new graphics rather than a respray, and a panel damaged in contact can be re-wrapped on its own. EMWRAPS designs, prints and installs race liveries in 3M and Avery Dennison cast film, at its Seattle shop at 1900 Airport Way S or at the track. EMWRAPS has wrapped Michael Petramalo's Ferrari race cars since 2023: a Ferrari 488 Challenge, the Ferrari 296 Challenge in 2024 and 2025, and the 2026 Ferrari 296 GT3 he races in GT World Challenge America. Other race work includes Ferrari Challenge cars for Seattle teams, race liveries at the 2024 Macau Grand Prix and a Toyota GR86 Global Time Attack livery.

- 2026, Ferrari 296 GT3: Number 38 in the Pro-Am class of GT World Challenge America, shared with Tyler McQuarrie, with EMWRAPS on the rear wing.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a race car livery cost?
Every livery is quoted per car. The price depends on the design, how much of the car is printed versus color film, and whether we install at our Seattle shop or at the track. Send us the car, the series and any sponsor files for a free quote.
Do you install at the track?
Yes. We install race liveries at our Seattle shop or at the track. We have flown out to wrap a Ferrari 296 Challenge at the track before a race.
Can you fix a livery after contact?
Yes. A damaged panel can be re-wrapped on its own instead of repainted. In 2023, Michael Petramalo's Ferrari 488 Challenge came back to us after an on-track accident and rebuild for a fresh wrap.
Do you design the livery?
We design liveries in-house with the team, or print and install your designer's files. Sponsor logos, numbers and driver names are laid out to the series rules before anything is printed.
Can you put PPF on a race car?
Yes. We fit paint protection film on race and track cars too. In 2023 we spent three days at Ferrari of Seattle doing vinyl and PPF on their race cars.
