Matte Paint Protection Film — Seattle | EMWRAPS
Full Front from $2,300
True satin / stealth finish without the haze. Convert glossy paint to a flat, anti-reflective look while keeping all the rock-chip and scratch protection PPF provides.
What's Covered
- Same coverage tiers as gloss PPF (Partial Front, Full Front, Track Pack, Full Body)
- Available across all installed brands with matte options
- Self-healing topcoat — even on matte films
- Hydrophobic surface — water sheets off cleanly without leaving spots
Why Choose Matte PPF
- A true satin/matte finish — not the slightly hazy, dimpled "matte" of cheaper films.
- Permanent paint protection while transforming the look — gloss to matte is fully reversible at removal.
- No waxing or polishing risk — matte PPF is designed for matte care from day one.
- Pairs beautifully with painted brake calipers, gloss black accents, and dark wheels for a stealth build.
Who It's For
Stealth/blackout build owners, performance car owners who want a non-reflective track-day look, and anyone whose factory paint is gloss but who wants the matte aesthetic without committing to a $5,000+ vinyl wrap that won't last as long.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is matte PPF really matte or just satin?
It depends on the film. STEK Dynomatte is a true flat matte with no haze. SunTek and Unity USA satin options sit between matte and satin — closer to factory satin paint finishes. We bring out swatches during the consultation so you can compare on your panel before committing.
How is matte PPF different from a matte vinyl wrap?
Matte vinyl wrap is 5–7 mil decorative film with no rock-chip protection. Matte PPF is 7.5+ mil paint protection film with the matte finish baked into the topcoat — same chip resistance, swirl resistance, and self-healing as gloss PPF. Lasts longer too (7–10 years vs 5–7).
Can I wash matte PPF normally?
Yes — but use a pH-neutral matte-safe shampoo. Avoid abrasive sponges, automatic car washes with brushes, and any wax or polish products (waxes leave streaks on matte). Hand washing with a microfiber wash mitt is ideal.
Does matte PPF still self-heal?
Yes. The matte topcoats from STEK, Unity USA, SunTek, and others use self-healing chemistry — minor scratches and swirls disappear with sunlight or warm water, just like gloss PPF.
