When car culture meets anime, magic happens. This Toyota GR86 received the full itasha treatment — a stunning Oguri Cap wrap from Uma Musume: Pretty Derby, themed "The Ashen Beast." The design combines aggressive racing aesthetics with beautifully illustrated character art, creating a show-stopping build that turns heads at every car meet.

The Design

This GR86 itasha project was a collaboration between the owner's vision and our install team. The wrap features Oguri Cap — one of the most iconic characters from Uma Musume — in a dynamic, action-packed pose that flows naturally with the car's body lines. The design incorporates a monochrome palette with strategic pops of color in the character art, creating a cohesive look that's both aggressive and elegant.

The livery design includes authentic JDM sponsor branding from HKS, Cusco, Yokohama, RAYS, detailbae, Turn 4 Detail, and StyleUp — giving it a genuine race car aesthetic. Halftone dot patterns and dynamic slash graphics tie everything together, transitioning seamlessly from the front fenders through to the rear quarter panels.

The Installation

Itasha wraps are some of the most complex vinyl installations we do. Unlike solid color wraps, every panel must be aligned perfectly so the artwork flows seamlessly across body gaps, fender flares, and compound curves. Our team used a combination of precision heat-forming, careful panel alignment, and meticulous trimming to ensure every detail of the Oguri Cap artwork was crisp and distortion-free.

The Details

The beauty of this build is in the details. Close-up shots reveal the quality of the print — sharp linework on the character illustration, clean sponsor logo integrations, and smooth halftone gradients that give the design depth and dimension.
