Itasha — from the Japanese 痛車, literally "painful car." What started as a niche JDM subculture has become a full-blown global movement, and EMWRAPS is right in the middle of it. We've built some of Seattle's wildest anime wraps right here in our shop.
This hood is a great example of what's possible with itasha. Custom-illustrated anime character artwork, printed in ultra-high resolution on premium vinyl, laminated for UV and scratch protection. The colors are vibrant, the detail is sharp, and it flows naturally with the hood contours. This is what happens when the design team actually cares about how art meets body lines.
And then there's this GR Supra — a full Death Note livery featuring Misa Amane. The design wraps the entire car in red, white, and black, with the Madhouse studio logo, EMW number plate graphic, and character art that flows from front fender to rear quarter panel. This is a race-inspired livery, not just a sticker job.
How Much Does Itasha Cost?
Hood-only itasha: $600 – $800
Half-body (one side + hood): $2,500 – $4,000
Full-body itasha with custom art: $4,000 – $8,000+
Our Process
It starts with a conversation. Tell us your favorite series, characters, and vibe. Our design team creates custom mockups on your specific vehicle model — we iterate until it's perfect. Then we print, laminate, and install. Concept to completion is usually 2 weeks.
